Bukit Komanwel terletak berhampiran dengan Rawang , Selangor dan tidak jauh dari Kuala Lumpur. Nama 'Komanwel' dipilih sempena Sukan Komanwel 1998 yang diadakan di Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil pada 1998.
