Etymology
Composed of *ɢojq-owɬ (“bile-, gall-bladder”) + *-Vŋʷ (adjectival suffix), literally, “bile-colored”.
Recorded Pumpokol terms point to a metathesized and reduced root, which can also be seen in Imbak Ket kɨalmas, reflecting *qowɬVŋʷ.
