Kepulauan British

Kepulauan British (bahasa Inggeris: British Isles) adalah rangkaian kepulauan di utara Lautan Atlantik, di luar pesisir barat laut benua Eropah.

Kepulauan tersebut terdiri daripada pulau-pulau Britain Besar (Great Britain), Ireland, Man dan lebih daripada enam ribu buah pulau kecil yang lain; keluasan keseluruhan kepulauan tersebut adalah kira-kira 315,159 kilometer persegi (121,684 bt²) dengan jumlah penduduk menghampiri 70 juta orang. Kepulauan ini dibahagikan kepada dua buah negara berdaulat, Republik Ireland (yang meliputi lima perenam pulau Ireland) dan United Kingdom. Pulau-pulau Alderney, Jersey, Guernsey dan Sark serta pulau-pulau kecil yang berhampiran kadang kala juga dirujuk sebagai sebahagian daripada Kepulauan British walaupun pulau-pulau tersebut berada di luar pesisiran Perancis, yang tidak membentuk sebahagian daripada kepulauan berkenaan.<ref>
