Calque of German assertorisch (assertory) (itself a calque of Latin assertōrius using using Latin assert- (supine stem of asserō) +‎ -orisch (-ory), popularized by Immanuel Kant[1]). By surface analysis, asserteur +‎ -ique. See German -orisch.
