From earlier तुभ्य (túbhya), from Proto-Indo-Iranian *tábʰya.[1] Cognate with Old Avestan 𐬙𐬀𐬌𐬠𐬌𐬌𐬁 (taibiiā), 𐬙𐬀𐬌𐬠𐬌𐬌𐬋 (taibiiō).[2]
