- The Latin characters lowercase ꭓ U+AB53 was added to the Unicode Standard 7.0 released in June 2014 (Delta Code Charts, Latin Extended-E, Range: AB30–AB6F) and uppercase Ꭓ U+A7B3 was added to the Unicode Standard 8.0 released in June 2015 (Delta Code Charts, Latin Extended-D, Range: A720–A7FF). Before its adoption, only the Greek character χ was available to represent the letter used in Latin orthographies.
- The Halkomelem Downriver orthography typically only uses lowercase letters.
