A denominative of kall (to stick; to thrust), part of family of words including kalli (spike of grain) and kallëz (husk; gleaning). Parallel formation with ngalloj (to sprout, to shoot up), ngallis (to sprout; to poke), ngallmoj (to nail down; to poke), etc., of same origin.[1]
