Etymology
From Proto-Agaw *cəka- ("ten"), from earlier *təka-täŋən '1 x 10', with the first element from Proto-Cushitic *tak- (“one”) (whence Oromo tokko) and the final element from Proto-Cushitic *tamn (“ten”) (whence Beja tamin).
