      First, the pick-and-sort strategy is now being widely used in most warehouses, such as warehouses in JD. Second, Van Nieuwenhuyse and De Koster (2009) show that the pick-and-sort strategy is superior to the sort-while-pick strategy in almost every setting. However, the pick-and-sort strategy brings new challenges.
