ovulist (plural ovulists)
- (biology, historical) A believer in the theory (ovism or ovulism) that an organism is entirely preformed in the egg, and that at the time of fecundation the spermatozoa simply gives the impetus which caused the unfolding of the egg, in which all generations are enclosed one within the other.
