Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *ma(m)mā, from Proto-Indo-European *mā̆(m)mā, *meh₂-(m)meh₂ (“mother”).[2] Cognate to Ancient Greek μάμμη (mámmē, “mother”) and Latin mamma (“mother”). A nursery word[3]
