• The German spelling rules proscribe the spaced spelling and instead prescribe the conjoined spelling Poetry-Slam or Poetryslam as stated in § 37 and § 45 of the German reform spelling rule set of 2011 (Der Rat für deutsche Rechtschreibung: Regeln und Wörterverzeichnis).
