      He divides synchronically opaque Sardinian toponyms into segments supposedly related to Basque lexical roots. For instance, the Ogliastran toponyms Dolai, Dodoliai and Iridolai, analyzed as *dol-ai, *do-dol-iai and *iri-dol-ai, in his view, all three contain a cognate of Bq. odol 'blood'.
