Jamaika-Koalition
German
Etymology
The symbolic colors of the three parties correspond to the colors of the flag of Jamaica: black for the CDU, yellow (gold) for the FDP, and green for the Greens. In Germany, the first possibility for such a coalition on the federal level occurred after the 2005 German federal election, but the term was already used sporadically in the 1990s to describe this coalition on a local level.
