Heads of the Valleys Road

  1. The A465 trunk road in Wales, so-called for at least part of its length as it crosses the tops of the South Wales Valleys.

      Launched now on the long descent to Merthyr, initially at 1 in 38-40, the train skirts the town of Dowlais to the east and north, High Street Station standing high above the main Heads of the Valleys road.
