It's raining.

雪(ゆき)が降(ふ)っている。
Yuki ga futte iru.
It's snowing.
(passive voice) to be hit by or caught in something falling head on.
ゲリラ豪雨(ごうう)に降(ふ)られて、全身(ぜんしん)びしょびしょになっちゃった。
Gerira gōu ni furarete, zenshin bishobisho ni natchatta.
There was a sudden rain storm, and I got soaked head to toe.

昨日(きのう)親父(おやじ)は雹(ひょう)に降(ふ)られた。

This is one of the intransitive verbs lacking an active (transitive) pair which allows the use of passive voice to imply the negative emotion of or damage to the subject (recipient) of the verb.
