     Recently, as the Central Plains fell into turmoil, the Jurchen cavalry advanced as if they were charging through an empty land, meeting no opposition. Our commanders' incompetence [meant that] they were far less formidable than the Great Wall in terms of strength and protection.

     Kuang's army was soundly defeated, and scattered in all four directions. Bu rode back and forth, killing everyone in his path, as if they were not even there.
