     ወትመጽእ ፡ ለፌ ፡ ኀበ ፡ አነ ፡ እቀውም ፡ ለፌ ፡ መንገለ ፡ ኰኵሕ ፡ ዘኮሬብ ፡ ወትዘብጦ ፡ ለኰኵሕ ፡ ወይወፅእ ፡ በውስቴቱ ፡ ማይ ፡ ወይስተይ ፡ ሕዝብ ፤ ወገብረ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዞ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በቅድሜሆሙ ፡ ለውሉደ ፡ እስራኤል ።

     wätmäṣʾ läfe ḫäbä ʾänä ʾəḳäwm läfe mängälä kʷäkʷḥ zäkoreb wätzäbṭo läkʷäkʷḥ wäywäṣ́ʾ bäwsətetu may wäysətäy ḥəzb ; wägäbrä muse bäkämä ʾäzäzo ʾəgziʾäbḥer bäḳdəmehomu läwludä ʾəsraʾel .

     Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

     lämnət təsärḳuni gäybä bərur zäbotu yəsäti ʾəgziʾyä ʾəkuyä gäbärkəmu bälomu .

     Is not this it in which my lord drinketh, and whereby indeed he divineth? ye have done evil in so doing.
