Cognate with Northern Thai ᩁᩥ᩠ᨾ, Isan ฮิม, Lao ຮິມ (him), Lü ᦣᦲᧄ (hiim), Tai Dam ꪭꪲꪣ, Shan ႁိမ်း (hím), Tai Nüa ᥞᥤᥛᥰ (hïm), Ahom 𑜍𑜢𑜉𑜫 (rim), 𑜍𑜢𑜪 (riṃ), or 𑜍𑜧𑜪 (rawṃ), Zhuang simz (“edge”) (dialectal) and rimz (“near by”) (dialectal), Zuojiang Zhuang rimz or simz.
