Borrowed from Middle Chinese 拆.[1] Cognate with Khün ᩈᩦ᩠ᨠ, Lao ສີກ (sīk) or ຈີກ (chīk), Lü ᦉᦲᧅᧈ (ṡiik¹), Tai Dam ꪊꪲꪀ, Shan သိၵ်ႇ (sìk), Phake ꩬိက် (sik) or ꩡိက် (cik), Ahom 𑜏𑜢𑜀𑜫 (sik).
