Etymology
Borrowed from Shan ၶဝ်ႈသွႆး (khāo sáui) or Northern Thai ᨡᩮᩢ᩶ᩣᨪᩬ᩠ᨿ (not in TDP). Same as ข้าว (kâao, “rice”) + ซอย (sɔɔi, “to slice”).
