ਖਾਦਾ
Punjabi
Etymology
Possibly inherited from Sanskrit [script needed] (khāditá, “eaten”, past passive participle of खादति (khādati)). Turner records the historically voiced-aspirated form, ਖਾਧਾ (khādhā), as an analogical re-formation of the participle, but does not give a phonological explanation.
