Etymology
From Proto-Indo-European *(s)leh₁g- (“weak, feeble”). Cognate with Latin langueō (“I am faint, weak”), English slack, Ancient Greek *λαγο- (*lago-, “flabby”) (Ancient Greek λαγώς (lagṓs, “hare”, literally “with flabby ears”)).
